United Orogen (UOG) and Empire Resources (ERL) have agreed to combine their respective properties in the Earaheedy Basin northeast of Wiluna. UOG will retain 100% of its iron ore rights over its own tenements (645 km²) and gains 70% equity for any iron ore discovered on 585 km² of Empire tenements. Any uranium or diamonds discovered will be split 50% to each company. In return Empire will explore for Au, Cu, and PGM's on UOG tenements. UOG will then retain 30% equity on these metals.

To earn their respective interests in each other's tenements, each company is required but not obligated to spend 50% of the minimum annual expenditure commitment for each individual tenement for a period of three years.

UOG will explore for Channel Iron Deposits. These kinds of deposits are found in the Hamersley Basin. UOG considers the iron-rich Frere formation in the Earaheedy to be a suitable source rock and environment for buried CID's. The location of the combined tenements relative to the Frere Formation is considered encouraging. UOG is currently negotiating with Aboriginal groups and has engaged a local geophysical firm to review and reprocess airborne magnetic data.
